Lockers

Daily use lockers  - Hugh Owen Library

There are lockers located on each floor of the Hugh Owen Library which are available for daily use use by all students on a first come first served basis.

These lockers:

• are free to use
• are loaned on your Aber Card
• are available until 9am the following morning

If you wish to make use of one of these lockers please ask at the Enquiry Desk on Level D

Please note

• A fine will be charged if you do not return your locker key to the Enquiry Desk by the date/time due
• If you lose the key you will be charged the full £12 cost of a replacement

Long Loan Lockers - Hugh Owen Library

There are lockers located on each floor of the Hugh Owen Library which are available for long loan for use by all students on a first come first served basis.

These lockers:

• are free to use
• are loaned on your Aber Card
• are available for a 12 week loan

If you wish to make use of one of these lockers please ask at the Enquiry Desk on Level D of the Hugh Owen Library.

Please note

• A fine will be charged if you do not return your locker key to the Enquiry Desk by the date/time due
• If you lose the key you will be charged the full £12 cost of a replacement

Locker regulations:

• No perishable items may be stored in the locker. 
• Only personal materials and checked-out library materials may be kept in the locker. 
• No hazardous materials may be stored in the locker. 
• Any Aberystwyth University library books or materials inside must be charged to the individual using the locker. 
• Any uncharged Aberystwyth University library books or materials found to be stored in a locker will be returned directly to the shelves. 
• Any overdue Library items found to be stored in a locker will be returned immediately. 
• Any perishable items will be removed and disposed of. 
• Information Services staff shall be entitled to routinely access the locker at all times and without notice to the user for the purposes of security, maintenance and repair, searching for unissued library materials and all other purposes deemed necessary. 
• Information Services will not accept any liability for lost or stolen items. 
• Lockers may be withdrawn if used incorrectly.
