The SU’S advice service offers support for health and wellbeing matters along with useful information about how you can get connected through a meaningful activity with like-minded people.
Report and Support
We all have an individual responsibility in ensuring dignity and respect for all is maintained – If you feel yourself or others are not being treated with dignity and respect then you may want to report the issue through our online reporting tool.
Routine planning resources
Planning our daily routine can be really helpful for many reasons. It can help us achieve the things we want to do and the things we have to do! Often when our routine is changed, it may be hard to get our daily routine back on track. For example, with blended teaching where remote learning structures are required, or if an emergency arises and our daily routine is affected.

Our Wellbeing Partners
The University has partnered with several online services to provide all students with short-term online counselling, peer support, and high-quality online wellbeing resources.
Students at Aberystwyth University can access free confidential wellbeing and counselling support for a range of issues through our external provider Care First.
Care First provides confidential, impartial advice and support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service is free for you to access whenever you need.
Care First can provide information booklets, articles, resource information on support services in your local area and even short-term counselling to help get you back on track.

What is myf.cymru?
The aim of myf.cymru is to improve access to mental health and well-being resources and support for students through the medium of Welsh.
What is available?
Information about self-care, mental health conditions, you can learn from other students about their experiences and much more, that can be accessed in several ways:
- Website - myf.cymru – the website has original content from Welsh-speaking students and resources about mental health that have been reviewed by Welsh-speaking therapists. The A-Z Mental Health section provides information on mental health conditions; and within the Hwb Myf section there is original content from students on a wide range of issues that affect their mental health and well-being.
- App - myf.cymru has worked in partnership with the Moving On In My Recovery© programme to translate their app into Welsh. Full of useful and practical resources to support you on your recovery journey and will help anyone navigate the day-to-day challenges of life. Advoacy West Wales offer Mental Health Advocacy in Ceredigion. An advocate can:

Jim White Stress Control course
Stress Control is a four-session course. It is for people who want to learn better ways to get on top of their problems such as depression, anxiety, panic, poor sleep and low self-confidence. Stress Control is now available online and provides a range of tools such as relaxation techniques and mindfulness to help manage stress, along with course modules.
Mind Aberystwyth are a mental health charity, working across Ceredigion area. They provide support and promote wellbeing through a range of activity groups, drop-in services and one-to-one tenancy support.
Mind provide information, support and develop local services for people affected by mental distress, including their carers, family, friends and supporters. Through the wide range of brilliant services they provide, they seek to make it possible for people affected by mental distress to play their full part in society and live full lives.
They have a range of Activities and Wellbeing events that run throughout the week which you are able to self-refer to.

Women’s Aid Bystander Intervention Training
The Women’s Aid can offer information about domestic abuse towards men and women and how to best manage this.
We all have apart to play in managing dignity and respect issues and the Bystander Intervention Initiative, developed by UWE Bristol, empowers communities to intervene proactively to stop violence and abuse. The programme is based on Social Norms Theory and is intended to help students identify problematic situations, assume responsibility, and intervene safely.
